Hair fall is one of the most common among the youth of today. Pollution, not-so-clean water, food habits, stress are some of the reasons for hair loss. Gone are the days, where weekly oil hair baths had its own big contribution to having healthy dense hair. Now-a-days, people resort to extra care for hair and skin. Hair packs made freshly at home can yield better results.
Here are a few hair packs that can be used once or twice a week to reduce hair fall and for shiny black dense hair.
1. Egg and Honey (Prevents Hair Loss)
Hair loss usually occurs due to lack of protein. Nourishing the hair with protein-rich and natural healer honey does wonders for your hair.
Beat an egg and a half teaspoon of honey. Apply it on your scalp and hair. Leave it for 1 to 1-30 hours and shower using shampoo. Do this once a week to witness a massive drop in hair loss.
Note that we beat both yellow and white yolks of the egg.
2. Onion and Coconut oil (Hair Growth)
Onion, which is rich in Sulphur helps in the growth of hair. Regular intake of good amounts of onion in our daily food will be of a great help for good health including hair.
Grind one or two peeled onions. Extract juice and add a tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply on your hair and leave for around 2 hours. Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair.
Onions can smell bad for some, so add a few drops of olive oil to the mixture and apply. Use this pack only ONCE a week.
3. Curry Leaves and Coconut ( For a thick, black, lustrous hair)
Curry Leaves are naturally rich in iron and thus enriches the growth of hair.
Grind a small bunch of curry leaves and half a cup of grated coconut together. Apply the paste on your hair, leave it overnight and shampoo your hair the next morning. You can do this for a few weeks on a daily basis for pitch black shiny and healthy hair.
For those who get cold often, shouldn’t use this method as you may get cold.
4. Gingelly oil, Pepper and Garlic ( To Get Rid off Dandruff)
Dandruff is a relevant problem these days and this hair pack helps clean your scalp off scaly dandruff.
Heat a tablespoon of gingelly/sesame oil. Splutter a few broken peppercorns and a few crushed garlic pods. Cool it down and massage the oil on your hair. Leave it for not more than one hour before you wash your hair.
This again can give people cold and headache if left for longer hours. Make sure you shampoo your hair within an hour of applying it on your hair.
