Fan clubs that were somnolent recieved a new lease of life and started quivering with life and activity again.
This frenetic activity peaked once more when Star Plus released the Rabba Ve Music video – the song of Advay, the protagonist of the show.
Let’s Decode The Fallen Angel’s Rabba Vey:
The teaser offered few seconds of preview which suggested a bleak, edgy, dark show. The music video elaborated on the same.
The Song opens with a man standing all alone on a barren, desert as a guest of a withered, lifeless tree. The tree shows off its collections of wish threads, good luck talismans – the trophies of another time when there was life, hope and happiness. Now it stands alone the wish threads flapping lifelessly, the good luck talisman drained of all its luck glints under the dull sun whose rays are unable to penetrate the hovering clouds of despair. The man walks by this withered wishing tree in a barren land that screams of loneliness.
The Man walks on cracked earth, perhaps earth that has burst out at seams unable to hold the despair that is emanating from within or perhaps in sympathy with this man who seems to hold an ocean full of pain deep within his mortal coils. The man stops in the middle of the scorched earth, embracing the pervading desolation and the loneliness, the only constant companion in his life. His eyes are dead, devoid of any emotions and by that emptiness suggesting at the extent and intensity of the grief!
He walks on, his restlessness taking him towards the path that once was alive, gave him happiness, tempted him with dreams of future. He pushes open the gate in the hope of recapturing those wisps of joy, those cherished memories of happiness, Alas!! ruins of the bygone happier times greets him! The elusive hand that guided him towards his roots deserts him, and there he stands at the gate, finally giving tongue to his swirling emotion through the guitar that has accompanied him faithfully through the toughest time without any complaint. His pain pours out as does the rage.
There he stands ALONE among the stiff, marble angels whose lips have ceased speaking the words of love, whose eyes have lost the luminosity of love, love that used to light his path. There he is ALONE beneath the defunct wish tree, a tree that once granted him all he wished for, a tree that offered all the luck from its bounty – A lonely being, a fallen angel who seeks his paradise but has wandered far off course.
He walks, his reflection causing a gentle curve of his lips but the mirror mocks him by shattering into pieces! O! Will he never see the smile of joy greeting him on his arrival? Will he never hear the ringing laughter that would sweep the cobwebs of tiredness and loneliness that pervades his heart? Will his life be like the soil that scatters away at the gust of wind?
What haunts this weary man? What does he seek? Why has he became the rootless mendicant? Will those eyes ablaze with grieving rage ever shed tears of happiness?
And then we get a glimpse into his stark world, but the world is not entirely sterile.. there burning on the pyre are the flesh of his loved one’s. Tears glisten in his eyes but the fires of rage evaporate the moist tears, lighting the embers of revenge. He carries the ashes of the departed in the urn, the ashes of his dream, the ashes of his love, the ashes of him as he was once!
The Man traverses the stark land, his heart raw with anguish, roiling in unspeakable pain. He walks lost, inching closer and closer towards the moving fog of gloom and hopelessness. But just before the fog could envelope him completely, thus destroying him utterly, He Turns!! Perhaps he hears the music again!!
